The University of Wyoming Department of Zoology and Physiology will present the annual L. Floyd Clarke Lecture Wednesday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 129 of the Classroom Building.
This year's lecture will feature Tim Clutton-Brock Prince Philip, professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Cambridge, England, speaking on "Cooperation and Conflict in Animal Societies."
He will also speak Thursday, April 3, at 4:10 p.m. in Room 129 of the Classroom Building on "Polygyny and the Evolution of Sex Differences."
The event is sponsored by the L. Floyd Clarke Fund in the Department of Zoology and Physiology. Clarke began at UW in 1935, served as department head from 1942-68, and also served as associate dean of the College of Health Sciences. He died in 1981. The L. Floyd Clarke Fund benefits UW students and faculty through lectures, visiting professorships, graduate student stipends and awards for outstanding undergraduates and faculty.
