A free special presentation, Cultivation of Internal Energy, will be offered from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the Education Building gym. Tim Sheehan will give a presentation on Chinese martial arts, health and internal training.
Sheehan, a 31-year veteran instructor of martial arts and founder (in 1989) of the Medicine Wheel Acupuncture Center in Cheyenne, has studied Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, and Filipino martial arts for more than 40 years.
After the presentation, there will be a meeting for those wanting to apply for membership in the new campus martial arts club, the Asian Martial Arts Association.
No experience is necessary but a work ethic and willingness to sweat are required, says Dave Claypool, the club's faculty adviser. For more information, e-mail him at email@example.com.
