Retirement Reception Honors Six Physical Plant Employees

Six individuals who have contributed a combined 178 years of service to the University of Wyoming Physical Plant will be honored during a retirement reception Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 1-3 p.m. in the Wyoming Union West Ballroom. A plaque ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited to honor them for their years of service to UW.

"It's unprecedented that so many skilled individuals are retiring at the same time. Their experience and valuable contributions to the University of Wyoming have been immeasurable," says Jim Scott, UW Physical Plant director. "We will miss them, and wish them the best in their future endeavors."

The retirees being honored, and their years of full-time service to UW, are:

Jerry Andersen, manager, University Landscaping & Grounds, 34 years.

Butch Craigie, Central Energy Plant operations manager, 29 years.

Monty Cramer, manager, Controls Shop, 41 years.

Curtis Durgain, institutional locksmith, 23 years.

Rick Hays, plumber/pipefitter, 31 years.

David McJunkin, carpenter, 20 years.
