Projects ranging from an optical-based skateboard odometer to a fly rod accessory pack and a wireless weather station will be displayed during the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science 16th annual Senior Design Symposium Thursday, Dec. 2.
More than 70 college seniors representing architectural, civil, chemical, petroleum, electrical and computer engineering will exhibit and present individual and team design projects beginning at 8 a.m. in Rooms 1062, 1075 and 2101 of the Engineering Building. For a complete schedule of presentations, visit www.eng.uwyo.edu/news/101123/Program%202010.pdf.
The students will give presentations in an environment similar to a technical meeting. Students are required to design, and in some cases to fabricate, the project selected with their advisers.
Their projects will be evaluated by more than 20 judges representing business, industry and the university.
The UW College of Engineering and Applied Science, Rocky Mountain Power Foundation and the Volpi/Cupal Engineering Design Fund sponsor the symposium. For more information, call (307) 766-4248, or e-mail at email@example.com.
