University of Wyoming trustees approved the following personnel items during their business meeting Friday, March 4.
Faculty Appointment:
College of Health Sciences
Maria Anne Cornelius as clinical assistant professor at the Family Medicine Residency Program, Casper. She received a B.S. (1993) in biology and environmental management from South Dakota State University, an M.S. (2003) in basic biomedical sciences from the University of South Dakota, and an M.D. (2007) from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel. She completed her residency at the Family Medicine Residency Program in Casper.
Academic Professional Appointments:
College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Whitney C. Stewart as assistant extension educator in the Cooperative Extension Service. Stewart received a B.S. (2008) in agricultural education composite from Brigham Young University-Idaho and an M.S. in animal science (2010) from Oregon State University. Stewart has been a graduate research assistant on the USDA selenium project since 2009.
College of Health Sciences
Joanne T. Theobald as assistant lecturer in the Division of Social Work. Theobald received a B.A. (1984) in social work from Colorado State University, and an M.S.W. (2001) from the University of Wyoming. She has been a counselor at Casper College since 2003.
Changes in appointments were approved for David M. Bagley, as head of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, and Rhonda K. Young, as interim department head in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, both in the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Mary D. Pridgen ends her appointment as associate dean and remains as distinguished professor in the College of Law.
