Jennifer Thompson, who mistakenly identified her rapist and sent him to prison for 11 years, will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in Room 178 of the University of Wyoming College of Law Building.
Thompson will discuss her best-selling book, "Picking Cotton," co-written by Ronald Cotton, the man she misidentified as her attacker. Thompson and Cotton became close friends after DNA evidence freed him from prison. Thompson's talk is free and open to the public.
Thompson's book will be available for purchase and she will sign copies.
The Potter Law Club at the UW College of Law and the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center sponsor Thursday's talk.
