University of Wyoming and statewide experts will share positive messages about the aging brain in the 30-minute documentary, "Gray Matters: Exploring the Mature Mind," produced by the Wyoming Geriatric Education Center (WyGEC) in the UW College of Health Sciences.
Wyoming Public Television will air the documentary Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. followed by a live call-in program at 7:30 p.m., "Wyoming Perspectives: The Surprising Life of the Grown-up Brain."
UW personnel featured in the documentary are Deb Fleming, clinical professor and WyGEC director; Christine McKibbin, assistant professor in the UW Department of Psychology; Dr. Kristina Stefka, a faculty physician at the UW Family Practice Center in Cheyenne; and social work graduate student Pat Engler-Parish.
Fleming will be on the live call-in program along with Casper neurologist Dr. David Wheeler, Wyoming Health Fairs exercise physiologist and author Alice Burron, and AARP Wyoming Director Tim Summers.
