Judges have selected winners in the University of Wyoming's annual College of Engineering and Applied Science Senior Design Symposium.
More than 130 college seniors representing architectural, civil, chemical, petroleum, electrical and computer engineering and computer science exhibited and presented individual and team design projects at the symposium. Their projects were evaluated by more than 20 judges representing business, industry, and UW. Students were required to design, and in some cases, fabricate the project selected with their advisers.
Projects included a new design approaches for 15th Street in Laramie between Garfield and Willett Drive, design of a wind turbine tower test facility, Ibuprofen pain patch, fracture simulations, UW Performing Arts Center designs, an automated frost-free hydrant and many more.
