College of Law Computer Support Specialist Vonnie Jenkin is UW's Employee of the Quarter

Vonnie Jenkin, computer support specialist at the College of Law, is the University of Wyoming's Outstanding Staff Employee of the Third Quarter.
The award recognizes UW staff members for their efforts toward excellence in the workplace.
"Her work is exemplary. She sets high expectations and meets them, and is a team leader who promotes quality discussion on every project," writes one nominator. "I have rarely seen a worker who is so diligent about ensuring that her work output is of the highest quality. She always strives to provide excellent customer service to all, including faculty, staff and students."
Another writes, "She is always happy to take on any duty that comes across her desk and she is always offering to help others even if she is working on other projects. She is open to new ideas and is always willing to think creatively to address problems we encounter in our workplace."
Jenkin began working at the College of Law in 1999 as an office assistant, senior, and was appointed to office associate (2000) and computer support specialist (2006). While leading the College of Law's computer support efforts, she also served as site engineer for ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. and the Colorado Supreme Board of Law Examiners.
"My employment at the University of Wyoming has given me the opportunity to meet countless interesting and influential people whose commitment to the university and the state of Wyoming inspires me," Jenkin says. "The University of Wyoming is the perfect place for employees to take advantage of every opportunity to better themselves, both personally and professionally. I thoroughly enjoy working with the faculty, staff and students, and look forward to many more years."
She says she appreciates the confidence and support of others, especially Megan Barber, Lori Lewis, Lisa Nunley and Christine Michel.
Employee of the Quarter nominees can be any UW staff employee and must receive three nomination forms from three separate individuals. Nominations must be submitted to the Staff Senate office. The forms are on the web at www.uwyo.edu/StaffSenate/EOQ.asp.
