Highly eclectic, original and genre-busting, "Bela Fleck & the Flecktones: The Original Lineup," will perform Tuesday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Wyoming Arts & Sciences auditorium.
Tickets for the Cultural Programs concert cost $27 for the public, $23 for seniors and non-students, and free to students with a valid UW student ID. For tickets and information, call (307) 766-6666 or go online to www.uwyo.edu/finearts and click "Ticketed Events."
Fleck, widely recognized as the world's top banjo player, has performed at UW before, both with the Flecktones and in a duo with Edgar Meyer. After taking a break, he is returning with a reconstituted original "Flecktones."
"His music is hard to describe, but combines bluegrass, electric blues and Eastern Europe folk dance music," says UW Cultural Programs Director Cedric Reverand.
