Elephant Revival, an indie acoustic quintet from Nederland, Colo., will perform Wednesday, April 18, at 8 p.m., in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. The event is free.
With a vast repertoire of original material and styles varying from folk to rustic Americana, the quintet is both dynamic and memorable. They incorporate a variety of instruments into their own music style, including viola, mandolin, banjo and washboard.
The band's new album, "Break in the Clouds," is gaining credibility throughout the music community.
"The album brims with poised folk ballads, modern Celtic fiddle dirges, hints of blues and Appalachia," says "Boulder Weekly" reviewer Dave Kirby. "The melodic, finely tuned songs are a tribute to the collaborative songwriting talents of each band member."
