Applications are now being accepted for Sloan Research Fellowships -- worth $50,000 each -- in eight fields: chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, computational biology, neuroscience, ocean sciences and physics. Nominations are due Sept. 15, 2012.
Funds may be used for any activity supportive of the fellow's research. Eligible candidates are tenure-track faculty members who are nominated by their department heads or a senior researcher.
