A grand opening for the University of Wyoming’s new Bison Run Village Apartments is set for Monday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m. at the new complex located on the east campus.
The new apartment complex will house 332 UW students throughout 15 residential buildings. A new Community Center features a lounge for programs, games and studying, as well as a computer lab, laundry room, mail room and the central apartments office.
“The first occupants will move in beginning Aug. 15,” says Cheri Frank, interim UW Apartments property manager. “This grand opening is the UW community’s chance to tour the apartments before they are occupied.”
The Bison Run Village Apartments feature shared kitchen, dining and living room spaces with single, private bedrooms. Bathrooms are either private or shared with one other roommate. The apartments are fully furnished, and include full-size beds, a desk and a dresser in every bedroom.
Space for the 2012-2013 academic year has sold out in Bison Run Village Apartments. Sign-up for fall 2013 will take place next spring.
“The response from students regarding Bison Run Village has been overwhelming,” says Residence Life & Dining Services Executive Director Patrick Call. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this new housing option at UW.”
