Deadline to register for the University of Wyoming’s annual Family Weekend is Friday, Sept. 14.
Activities both on campus and in the Laramie community are planned Sept. 28-30. Family Weekend offers families an opportunity to share the UW experience and spend time with their students. Parents, grandparents, siblings and other family members of currently enrolled UW students are invited to visit the UW campus for an event-packed weekend.
Among activities scheduled are an academic colleges open house in Coe Library; tours of campus, UW Art Museum, Laramie Plains Museum and Wyoming Territorial Prison; panel discussions; a family dinner at Washakie Dining Center; walking tour of historic downtown Laramie; 5K run/walk; family barbecue; hiking at Vedauwoo recreation area; and the president’s brunch.
Cost is $65 for adults; $35 for children 12 years and older; $25 for children ages 6-11; and free for children under age 5. Most events are free, but some activities require an additional fee.
