
University of Wyoming trustees approved the following personnel items during their meeting Friday, Nov. 16.
Faculty Appointments:
College of Arts and Sciences
Department of Communication and Journalism -- Li Li as assistant professor. He received a B.A. (2001) in English language education from Hebei Normal University in Shijiazhuang, China, an M.A. (2004) in English language and literature from China University of Mining and Technology, an M.A. (2010) in communication studies from Ohio University, and a Ph.D. (2012) in communication studies from Ohio University.
Department of Modern and Classical Languages -- Ekaterina Alexandrova as assistant professor. She received a B.A. in French and international relations from Saint Joseph's University, an M.A. in comparative literature (French and Russian) from Dartmouth College, and a Ph.D. (2012) in French from the University of Pennsylvania.
Department of Modern and Classical Languages -- Irene Checa-Garcia as assistant professor. She received a B.A. in Hispanic philology and an M.A. in linguistics, both from the Universidad de Granada, and a Ph.D. (2004) in linguistics from Universidad de Almeria.
College of Engineering and Applied Science
Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering -- Kam Ng as assistant professor. He received a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D. in civil engineering, all from Iowa State University.
Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering -- Noriaki Ohara as assistant professor. He received a B.A. and an M.A. in civil engineering, both from Chuo University, and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering -- Jianting Zhu as associate professor. He received a B.S. in fluid mechanics from Zhejiang University, an M.S. in fluid mechanics from Peking University, and a Ph.D. in computational and environmental hydrology from Dalhousie University.

Department of Modern and Classical Languages -- Petra Heinz as assistant lecturer. He received an M.A. in Romance languages from Ludwig Maximilian Universitaet in Munich, Germany.
Department of Theatre and Dance -- Ginger Robertson as assistant lecturer. She received a B.A. in Spanish from Boise State University, and an M.F.A. in costume technology from North Carolina School of the Arts.
Religious Studies Program -- Tyler Fall as assistant lecturer. He received a B.A. in history from Mary Washington College, an M.A. in history from the University of Oregon, and an M.F.A. in creative writing from UW.
College of Engineering and Applied Science
Dean’s Office -- John Davis as assistant lecturer. He received a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from UW.

Academic Programs -- Donna Brown will serve as associate dean and director of academic programs for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. She retains her tenured professor appointment in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.
