Dear UW Students, Faculty, and Staff,
On Friday, August 30, 2013, we will be joining the State of Wyoming in College Color Day. Wyoming Governor Mead has signed a declaration asking Wyoming residents to wear their collegiate colors on the 30th to commemorate the tradition and spirit of their favorite college.
In conjunction with this event, I would like to begin a new tradition at the University of Wyoming declaring every Friday throughout the year as ‘UW Pride Friday’ and encourage all students, faculty, and staff, to wear their brown and gold UW gear to promote pride in our university and celebrate our collective achievements!
Therefore, I hereby declare Friday, August 30, 2013 and all Fridays following as UW Pride Fridays.
The UW Pride Committee will have representatives out on campus starting Friday, August 30, and every Friday following, to hand out prizes to those participating in UW Pride Fridays by wearing their brown and gold. We hope that you will participate and proudly wear your UW colors every Friday!
