UW Mortar Board Chapter Receives National Award

The University of Wyoming is among 24 chapters nationwide to earn the Mortar Board national college senior honor society’s Gold Torch Award.

Presented to exceptional chapters, the award is based on devotion to Mortar Board’s ideals of scholarship, leadership and service. Recipients must have accomplished significant results in chapter management and contributed meaningful service to their campus communities.

Since its founding in 1918, more than 250,000 members have been selected for membership at 231 chartered Mortar Board chapters across the nation. The UW Cap and Gown chapter was founded in 1933 and currently has 46 members.
