The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour comes to Laramie Wednesday, Feb. 18, and Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Gryphon Theatre, 710 E. Garfield St.
Tickets are free and available to University of Wyoming students, faculty and staff with valid WyoOne ID cards at the Wyoming Union information desk. Free public tickets are available at the Laramie Plains Civic Center or at www.gryphontheatre.org.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, held annually in Banff, Alberta, embarks on its world tour immediately after the festival ends in November, traveling to 32 countries, reaching more than 245,000 people at more than 635 screenings worldwide. Films featured in the tour are known as the “Best of the Fest.”
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, a program of the Banff Center, is one of the world's largest and most prestigious mountain film festivals. This year's tour features a collection of the festival's most inspiring action, environmental and adventure films.
