More than $18,000 in cash and purchase awards has been awarded to the winners of the University of Wyoming Art Museum's 40th annual Juried UW Student Exhibition.
The Juried Art Exhibition was on display through March 21 at the UW Art Museum. The exhibition also is an opportunity to recognize and support the artistic work of students through purchase and cash awards. As a result, many of the works will be added to the student art already seen in the President's Office, Coe Library, various on-campus departments and other locations around campus.
The creative work of UW students comes from all disciplines and includes painting, printmaking, metalwork, sculpture and graphic design. The exhibition was open to any students enrolled at UW and, for the first time, this year’s exhibition was open to in-state students enrolled through the UW Outreach School. This exhibition also is an opportunity for departments and units around campus to purchase student artwork.
