A reception for the exhibition “The Study of Freedom” by artist Kathryn Yarkosky will take place Thursday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in Gallery 234, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.
“The Study of Freedom,” displaying through Oct. 29, showcases a series of woodcut relief prints that explore the world around us, says Yarkosky. She is a UW art student who plans to graduate in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in studio art with an emphasis in printmaking. After graduation, Yarkosky plans to apply for graduate programs and artist residencies.
Gallery 234 is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The UW Visual and Cultural Arts program sponsors the event. For more information, visit www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/gallery234, like the Wyoming Union on Facebook, or follow the Campus Activities Center on Twitter and Instagram @UWYOCAC.
