University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy Clinical Associate Professor Michelle Hilaire recently was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacists (ACCP).
Recognizing excellence in clinical pharmacy, the fellowships are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance in clinical pharmacy practice and/or research. Fellowships also recognize sustained contributions to the ACCP.
Hilaire, associate dean of the UW School of Pharmacy, is a certified diabetes educator, a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and is credited with many publications. She teaches physical assessment; team teaches in the therapeutics series; and offers both ambulatory care and pre-residency rotations.
Her clinical and research interest areas include diabetes, women’s health, anticoagulation and cardiovascular risk reduction. In 2012, Hilaire received the UW College of Health Sciences Meritorious Service Award and the School of Pharmacy Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Award.
