Rock climbing in the Laramie Range will be the focus of a slideshow and talk Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Business auditorium.
Zach Orenczak, a climber and author of “Climbing in the Laramie Range,” will lead the program. He’ll discuss the history of developing the Laramie Range and offer insights on the best areas to climb.
“The Laramie Range boasts hundreds of overhanging sport routes and traditional granite towers pushing 500 feet -- these areas rival the best of what Vedauwoo has to offer,” Orenczak says. “Bullet-hard granite with no crowds and short hikes are just some of the advantages of this underutilized area.”
The UW Outdoor Program sponsors Tuesday’s program. The show is free and open to everyone.
