Deep-dive demonstrations of potential cloud-based platforms for University of Wyoming financial management, human capital management, budgeting and grants management are planned next week for users of the systems.
Software demonstrations of the Workday and Oracle cloud products will take place April 25-29 at the UW Conference Center. All interested users of these systems are invited to attend and submit their feedback to the software selection committee.
Schedules for each of the demonstration days will be posted to the Shared Business Services website -- www.uwyo.edu/administration/fiscal/shared-business-serv/news-blog/. The Shared Business Services site also will contain a link to WyoCast on the day of the presentations for those employees who cannot attend in person, as well as a link to the feedback survey form.
Over the last six months, UW has undertaken a review of its fiscal and reporting system needs. As a result of this review, the decision has been made to move the university’s financial management, human capital management, budgeting and grants management systems to a cloud-based platform.
“This represents an exciting time for the university’s future and is an extremely important initiative that will allow the university to make better and more data-driven decisions,” UW Vice President for Administration Bill Mai says. “Since this is a major initiative for the university community, it is important that campus stakeholders at all levels are able to participate in the process of system selection and have their voices heard.
“With this in mind, we would like to request that all supervisors allow flexibility for as many employees to participate in the upcoming software demonstrations as possible.”
