Denver-based band SIR will perform Wednesday, July 13, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on Simpson Plaza at the University of Wyoming as part of the Summer Programs concert series. The event is free and open to the public.
SIR, formerly Sarah & The Meanies, has an alternative sound that combines pop, rock and soul into creative songs with powerful lyrics, says Haley Biswell, Summer Programs lead student programmer.
The band has been featured at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, three years in a row and headlined at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver in 2013. SIR soon will release its first LP with Serenity West Studios. The group’s new single, “GO,” is available now.
