The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host “Lunchtime Conversations with Curators” Wednesday, Sept. 7, from noon-12:30 p.m.
An informal gallery walk-through with museum curators and special guests will focus on one of the exhibitions on view in the museum. Visitors are encouraged to bring lunch and continue the conversation after the in-gallery session. The event is free and open to the public.
September’s event will discuss “Waste Land: A Survey of Works by Brandon Ballengée, 1996-2016,” an exhibition on view through Dec. 17. Visitors will be joined by special guest artist-biologist Ballengée; Katie Christensen, UW Art Museum curator of education and statewide engagement; and Nicole Crawford, UW Art Museum curator of collections.
Discussions will be casual and informal, and will include stories behind the art.
For more information, call the Art Museum at (307) 766-6622, visit the website at www.uwyo.edu/artmuseum, or follow the museum on Facebook.
