Volunteers are still needed to welcome new and returning students and their families to the University of Wyoming for the fall semester.
“Move-In 2016” is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 25, and Friday, Aug. 26.
Volunteers are needed to greet students; help students load carts to transport their belongings to residence hall rooms; answer questions; direct students to appropriate offices; and organize cart and dolly use.
Volunteers can work shifts between 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, and between 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.
“Our students and their families continually tell us how exciting it is to be greeted by the many individuals from the university and how this makes them feel welcomed into the community during what could be a stressful time for them,” says Eric Webb, executive director of UW Residence Life and Dining Services, and the Wyoming Union.
