Artwork from University of Wyoming student Zach Bath is on display through Thursday, Oct. 27, in Gallery 234, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.
The reception for “From Beyond” will be held Monday, Oct. 24, from 5-7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Bath, a UW visual arts program senior, focuses on printmaking. He designs woodcut prints, engravings and lithographs.
“From Beyond” is an exhibition of prints representing a range of processes and styles that are all tied together through a common thread of the macabre. His work comes from two separate directions that merge conceptually in a central dark motif. While some of Bath’s art is a study of morbid Americana, such as serial killers and their victims, other pieces are esoteric, clandestine illustrations of religion, folklore and superstitions.
