The semiannual Welcome Back event for University of Wyoming students is 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, in the Wyoming Union.
The free event will include magician Joseph Réohm, hypnotist Michael C. Anthony, karaoke, board games, crafts and a screening of “Now You See Me.”
“A semester closer to graduation is a cause for celebration. The Welcome Back event is for all UW students, so they can start the semester right by coming out to meet new people and have fun,” says Erika Baker, marketing intern for 7220 Entertainment.
Réohm, a magician and illusionist, is best known for his award-winning stage magic and has been featured in magazines such as People and Us Weekly. He also has appeared on many popular television networks such as E!, SyFy and The CW.
Hypnotist Anthony is best known for his show, “Hypnotized.” He has worldwide recognition for his work and has appeared on CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox.
The screening of “Now You See Me” will begin at 9:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided during the movie. Other activities are planned throughout the night.
7220 Entertainment’s Late-Night Events Committee is responsible for organizing the Welcome Back event. Students are invited to join this committee, which meets at 4 p.m. Thursdays in the Campus Activities Center (CAC), located in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union.
