These are among the construction activities scheduled Feb. 4-10 at the University of Wyoming:
Colder Weather Advisory (UW Operations) -- UW Operations asks building occupants to assist with ensuring buildings and facilities are safe and secure. Make sure all windows and doors are completely closed with windows latched at the end of each day, and report any doors or windows that you are unable to close and secure to the Service Desk (766-6225).
Snow Removal (UW Operations) -- Crews will remove snow as needed throughout the season. Watch for snow-removal equipment; be careful and safe during snow events. Call the Service Desk (766-6225) to report icy spots and problem areas.
Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB) (Construction manager GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Casper; spring 2019) -- Installation of the stone veneer is underway. Concrete block is being placed to form the pilasters around the building. Exterior and interior metal stud framing and drywall are underway. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing rough-ins are underway. Roofing is underway. Please steer clear of heavy equipment or delivery trucks parked on city streets. Please observe all construction signs.
Classroom Building (Stonehouse Construction) -- The Classroom Building water line break is repaired with temporary resurfacing of the dig area complete. The east entrances to the building will still be temporarily restricted until mid to late next week. Once opened, there will be no vehicular traffic allowed on the temporary resurfacing. Also, no vehicular traffic is allowed on the Science Library deck at any time except snow-removal equipment. Please see the map for temporary access to the building.
Mick and Susie McMurry High Altitude Performance Center (Construction manager at risk GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Jackson; June 2018) -- Exterior veneer is complete, except for the new north entry additions and final paving/landscape improvements. Drywall hanging/finishing, painting, tile and all other interior finishes are in progress. Selective demolition for the Rochelle Athletics Center (RAC) is underway. All access to and egress from the RAC will be limited to the west weight room doors across from the Fieldhouse North. The weight room will be the only occupied area in the existing building until the phased turnover begins, which was at the end of January. Traffic control, signs and barricades will be in place at the building interior and exterior during this process. Please use caution when near the project, and observe all construction signs.
Physical Sciences Building (Arcon Inc., Laramie) -- Selective demolition and framing are underway for the new WWAMI cadaver lab in rooms 338, 340 and 341. Expect HVAC work in adjacent corridors, labs and mechanical rooms to support the project. Dust and construction partitions have been constructed, and traffic-control barricades are in place. Parking and staging for the project will occur on the northwest corner of the building. Please use caution when near the project, and observe all construction signs.
Central Energy Plant (Arcon Inc., Laramie; May 2018) -- Construction fence is set up around the work area. The sidewalk on the west side of 19th Street may be closed, and 19th Street will be blocked occasionally. Please be cautious of crews and equipment in the area.
Merica Hall (UW Operations, Paint Shop) -- The UW Paint Shop has begun to paint the hallways and restrooms at Merica Hall. Please be cautious in these areas.
Agriculture C and Engineering Addition Buildings (Summit Sealants, Montrose, Colo.; July 2018) -- Painting, caulking and minor repairs to the exteriors of Agriculture and Engineering will be ongoing through the winter, as weather permits.
IT Building (UW Operations) -- A temporary chiller is in place on the north side of the building for backup cooling. Please be cautious of crews and equipment in the area.
White Hall (UW Operations; June 2018) -- This project is on hold until spring when a new insulated door will be added to the south stairwell, and soffit masonry and paint finishing will be completed.
Corbett Building (UW Operations Shops; January 2018) -- Masonry work to access the outside air chase for damper and insulation modifications, to reduce sub-zero freezing and improve comfort in Room 206 will begin. Please use caution, and observe signs around the construction area.
Education Annex (Gem City Roofing, Plumbing Company, Laramie; March 2018) -- Modifications to drain the west-side Literacy Center canopy roof to prevent slip hazards will be ongoing, weather permitting. Please use caution, and observe signs around the construction area.
Downey Hall (Adventure Construction, Laramie Mechanical; January 2018) -- Initial phases of east-side soffit modifications and insulation addition, and access to add heat to the west-side soffit will be accomplished, weather permitting. A new insulated door will be added in the east stairwell. Please use caution around work activities, and observe signs around the construction area.
Veterans Services Center (Shepard Construction; summer 2019) -- Demolition will begin in early February on the south end of the third floor of the Wyoming Union. Exterior project staging is on the southwest side of the Wyoming Union. Please be cautious around crews and equipment in this area.
Geology, Arts and Sciences, Biological Sciences Buildings (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie) -- Three entrance roofs will be replaced, weather permitting. Entrances will remain open and will require one day each to complete. Additional and replacement pavers will be installed on the roofs. Please use caution, and observe signs around the construction area.

South Ag C (The Plumbing Co., Laramie; January 2018) -- Surface restoration is complete.
1700 Willett Drive (The Plumbing Co., Laramie; January 2018) -- Valve installation is complete.
