Cloud Peak Energy personnel are visiting the University of Wyoming this week to meet with College of Business students and UW representatives.
Cloud Peak Energy, headquartered in Wyoming, is one of the largest U.S. coal producers, employing about 1,300 workers.
As a part of Cloud Peak Energy Days, various events are planned at the College of Business through Thursday, March 8. In addition to special events, Cloud Peak representatives will visit a number of classes across the UW campus to speak with students.
The Cloud Peak group will meet with MBA students and College of Business faculty members Thursday for the group’s annual luncheon. Todd Myers, Cloud Peak’s senior vice president of marketing and business development, will lead the discussion with MBA students and faculty members.
Myers has extensive expertise in coal and energy industries, and has served as senior vice president of business development at Cloud Peak. Before joining Cloud Peak, he was president of Westmoreland Coal Sales Co. During his 14 years with Westmoreland, he held senior leadership positions in business development, strategy and marketing. He also spent five years with RDI Consulting, a leading consulting firm in the coal and energy industries.
