Pistol Pete’s Cowboy Roundup, a night filled with entertainment, is coming to the University of Wyoming Friday, April 6. The roundup will be at 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union and is free and open to the public.
The Cowboy Roundup will include free food, a mechanical bull, Pop Up Paint Party sessions and swing dancing lessons, followed by a live country music performance.
Two Pop Up Paint Party sessions will be in the Wyoming Union Senate Chambers. An instructor will lead individuals through creating his or her own masterpiece. The first session is from 9-10:30 p.m., and the second session is from 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Space is limited, and participants can obtain a free ticket to reserve a spot with a valid student ID beginning Monday, March 26, at the Wyoming Union information desk.
The mechanical bull will be located in the Wyoming Union Family Room. To participate, a waiver must be signed for ages 18 and over. If younger than 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.
Swing dancing lessons will be provided by the Cowboy Country Swing Club. Lessons will take place from 9-10 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Following the dance lessons, a live country band will perform.
The event is presented by 7220 Entertainment’s Late-Night Events committee, which meets Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center (CAC). For more information about committees and meeting times, visit www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/7220-entertainment/how-to-join.html.
