More than 200 University of Wyoming employees will be honored during Staff Recognition Day Wednesday, March 28, at 10 a.m. in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Free parking is available, and shuttle buses will run to the Gateway Center.
This is the 40th anniversary of Staff Senate and, to honor that milestone, a ’70s theme, “Still Groovy after 40 Years!,” will be celebrated.
UW President Laurie Nichols has granted up to two hours of release time to attend Staff Recognition Day. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.
The annual event will feature refreshments, door prizes, entertainment, a raffle for prizes and a 50-50 drawing, as well as years of service recognition and staff awards. The announcement of the 2017 Employee of the Year, who is selected from among four quarterly winners, will be among the event’s highlights.
Additionally, nearly $20,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to outstanding staff members.
For more information, call the Staff Senate office at 766-5300 or email email@example.com.
