Eco-Wakening, a theatrical circus production that uses performance art as a way to bring awareness about environmental issues to audiences, is coming to the University of Wyoming Saturday, April 28.
Eco-Wakening will be in the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
A workshop with Eco-Wakening also will take place Friday, April 27, from 5-8 p.m. in the Arts and Sciences auditorium. The workshop, titled “Art as Activism,” will allow participants to work together to create a choreographed piece that will open the theatrical circus the next day.
Participants can sign up at the Campus Activities Center (CAC), located in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union. Spots are limited and will be first-come, first-served. Waivers will be available for participants to fill out at sign-up.
The event is presented by 7220 Entertainment’s Fine Arts and Lecture Committee, which meets Mondays at 4:30 p.m. in the CAC. For information, visit www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/7220-entertainment/how-to-join.html.
