The University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences recently honored faculty and staff members for their outstanding contributions to administration, teaching and research.
The awards are handed out near the end of the spring semester each year, and April 26 marked the seventh year of this recognition. A selection committee made up of faculty from throughout the college chooses honorees based on peer recommendations and classroom outcomes.
As the College of Health Sciences has continued to expand on the ever-increasing diversity in health education, awards were added to recognize new areas of instruction. These include teaching in geriatrics and interprofessional health education.
“We proudly congratulate the efforts of our faculty and staff, and we know that their efforts in advancing health education at the College of Health Sciences result ultimately in the academic success of our students,” says Interim Dean David Jones.
