Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center is hosting an open house for the University of Wyoming campus community Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Wellness Center, located in the west lobby of the facility.
The Wellness Center focuses on the health and wellness of the university community through various programs and activities. Among services offered by the Wellness Center are: general wellness classes and tours, stress management and mental wellness activities, nutrition programs, physical activity support, financial wellness programs, sexual wellness and body image discussions, student involvement opportunities, and coalition and advocacy groups.
“In addition to a multitude of educational programs at the Wellness Center, we also offer outreach presentations on a variety of health topics,” says Lena Newlin, Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center assistant director. “Contact us for more information or to request an outreach program.”
Most services in the Wellness Center are free; however, personal training and smoothie bike rental outreach services have competitive fees.
