Researchers at the University of Wyoming can learn how to take their work to the next level at the Responsible Conduct of Research Workshop Monday, Oct. 15.
The UW Office of Research and Economic Development will host the free workshop from 10 a.m.-noon at the BP Collaboration Center in the Energy Innovation Center. The workshop is open to UW faculty and staff members, students and postdoctoral researchers.
“Good research practices can accelerate scientific discovery and communication, and keep you out of trouble,” says Carolyn Broccardo, director of Research Integrity and Compliance in the UW Office of Research and Economic Development.
Broccardo will co-lead four sessions with Brad Woods, associate director of the Research Integrity and Compliance Review Office at Colorado State University. Attendees can join any or all of the sessions. RSVPs are appreciated but not required, Broccardo says.
The workshop schedule is as follows:
10-10:30 a.m. -- “Best Practices for Data Management.”
10:30-11 a.m. -- “Responsible Authorship.”
11-11:30 a.m. -- “Avoiding Research Misconduct.”
11:30 a.m.-noon -- “Science Communication.”
