The Campus Recreation Fitness Program strives to encourage a healthy, balanced lifestyle to all participants through inspiration, teamwork, and positivity. Our instructors and trainers are a team dedicated to getting people moving together. As a fitness team member, you will be exposed to educational topics around exercise science and programming, team building, and leadership. Your entry into teaching fitness or training clients follows a clearly structured shadowing process (usually lasting one semester) to ensure you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver impactful movement-based experiences.
Hiring windows usually occur twice per year toward the end of each semester in April-May and November-December. Keep your eyes open for announcements in the exercise studio spaces and elsewhere around Half Acre. For specific questions, you may reach out to Kevin Bretting, Fitness Coordinator, at kevinb@uwyo.edu. Job listings, when available, will be posted on the UW Job Site. Search for “Fitness” or “Personal Trainer” or “Campus Recreation” in the Student Employment of Part-Time Listings sections to see what is available.
