Helpful Tips for Success

  • Always take advantage and register as soon as you are able. Even if you're not sure whether or not you are returning the following semester, it's easier to early register and then drop those classes if needed.
  • When meeting with your adviser to set up your class schedule, always determine several alternative classes in case some of your preferred classes are closed. Print a copy of your Degree Evaluation from WyoRecords and take it with you to your advising session.
  • Report changes of address or phone numbers as soon as possible through the Personal Information section in WyoRecords
  • Be aware of important dates and deadlines. Do not be caught off guard by add/drop/withdrawal deadlines!
  • Plan ahead when needing a copy of your transcript, as they can take 2-3 business days to process and if sent via mail can take time to arrive. Review the Transcript Request page for more information about how to request a transcript.
  • You are the only person (outside of university personnel with a verified reason) who can request a copy of your grades or transcript. This means that your parents, spouse, or friend cannot complete the request for you.
  • If you are unsure of a deadline or a procedure, do not hesitate to stop by our office or reach out over phone or email.
