Ways to Request a Transcript
Current Students (WyoWeb Access Required)
Current students or former students who still have an active login are able to request their transcript through WyoRecords. This is the most direct and accurate way to request a transcript. Use the link to learn more about the process.
Current StudentsFormer Students (WyoWeb Access NOT Required)
Former students who do not have an active login to WyoRecords can still request their transcript. Use the link to learn more about how to submit your request and what information is required.
Requesting Transcript Sent to UW
At UW, we make transferring credits easy. Use the link to see more information about transferring credits to UW.
Outstanding Balance and Other Holds
If you have an outstanding debt with the university, we cannot issue an official transcript. If you believe you may have an outstanding debt, please contact the Office of Accounts Receivable at (307) 766-6232 or by email at sfs@uwyo.edu.
If you believe you may have another hold preventing you from accessing your transcript, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
Transcript Explanation Key
Every official transcript sent will include a transcript explanation key. This helps to interpret what different elements of the transcript mean and helps when reading the document.
Current Students (Request Through WyoWeb)
Through WyoWeb, students can view their unofficial transcript and send their official transcript online (WyoLogin Help). To order your transcript complete the following steps:
- Go to the WyoWeb homepage (see button below)
- Under WyoRecords, click on the Students link.
- On the WyoRecords page, click on the Student Records tab.
- Click the Transcripts tab, which includes both your unofficial transcript and the
request for the official transcript.
- To order an Official Transcript: Click the Request Official Transcript link at the bottom to request that an official transcript be issued. Please allow a minimum of 2-3 business days for processing.
- To view an Unofficial Transcript, click on the Academic Transcript link.
*If you have a transfer matching form or other document that needs to be sent with your transcript, please complete the steps above and send the form to rr-transcript@uwyo.edu With your email, please include your W# and a rough estimate of when the request was made to help us ensure the form is included when your transcript is sent.

Former Student (Without WyoWeb Access)
Former students who do not have WyoWeb access can submit a request through the UW Transcript Request Form. This is an online form submitted through the website. Be aware that as a part of this form you will need to upload an image of your photo ID to confirm identity. If you run into any issues submitting this form, please contact us at (307) 766-5272 or by email at registrar@uwyo.edu. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing.
If you are in need of an unofficial transcript, you will complete the same form. As the University of Wyoming does not currently charge for transcripts, best practice is to request an official transcript be sent to your own email or address.
*If you have a transcript matching form or other document that needs to be included with your transcript request, this can be attached in the transcript request form. In the space where you upload the image of your photo ID, you can upload your document as a second upload. If you have any issues with uploading these documents, please attach what you can and send the remaining documents to rr-transcript@uwyo.edu. In your email, please include your W# and a rough estimate on when your request was submitted.
