Federal Government Shutdown Guidance and FAQs

As of October 1, the new federal fiscal year began without any appropriations passed by the U.S. Congress. Because of this lapse in appropriations, many federal agency activities, services, and operations have been reduced or suspended. It remains uncertain how long the shutdown will last.
