Abstract
Grand Teton National Park is one of the Crown Jewels of the National Park Service. Although a key part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem that shares grizzly bears, wolves, and some of the world’s longest ungulate migration corridors with Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton is different than Yellowstone National Park including its history, management complexity, and geographic context. In managing water, wildlife, and habitat in Grand Teton, we must recognize how the landscape has changed and continues to change, and that Grand Teton is part of larger landscape that is unique and iconic. Yvette will provide a glimpse into the world of Grand Teton resource management, share insights into the Science and Resource Management Division’s vision and strategy to protect resources, and discuss the importance of community led conservation to create a lasting legacy of landscape conservation in the beloved Grand Teton National Park.
