I feel real ownership of the research project that INBRE has helped me produce. I was able to generate a novel research question and see it through from designing my experiments to writing up my results. INBRE cemented my resolve to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences, gave me the confidence to ask and answer poignant research questions, and helped me become a more competitive applicant for graduate school programs. Without INBRE, my undergraduate experience would not have prepared me for a research career; instead, INBRE has allowed me to gain the practical knowledge to know a career in the sciences is right for me.
