Helpful links to get you started:
- If you plan to do research that involves human subjects, interviews, or data collection where people are involved, you'll need to check in with your advisor and determine whether you require Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval. If an IRB is required, get started here.
- Research Office Compliance
- If you are required to participate in the CITI training on research ethics and compliance, you can begin here. CITI training is required for IRB approval, and provides the researcher with course-based materials on appropriate research methods for working with the public.
- Council on Undergraduate Research Code of Ethical Practices provides student researchers with tools and ideas for conducting research appropriately.

- If you want help with presentations or talks about your research, check out the oral communication center on campus.
- The writing center is available work with researchers to develop their abstracts, edit and hone the body of a research paper, and provide general support in writing up your research.
