Waste Management
The Regulated Materials Management Center (RMMC) handles discarded items that cannot go down the drain or to the landfill. This includes biological, radiological and chemical wastes, as well as bulbs that contain mercury (fluorescent, HIDs, etc.) recyclable batteries, and fluorescent ballasts. Whenever possible, we seek to reduce, reuse or recycle these discarded materials in order to minimize disposal costs and the impact on the environment.
