Research Experience
Brandon Folse is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Wyoming. His research examines migration, family, and social inequality, with a particular focus on family formation, mobility, and the construction of place and imagined futures. He has conducted ethnographic and interview-based research on Chinese birth tourism and outward migration from climate-affected coastal Louisiana, drawing on fieldwork in both the United States and China.
Dr. Folse’s current projects investigate the health impacts of deportation and explore transnational fatherhood among American men raising mixed-race children in China.
