Oct. 3, 2001 -- The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance production
of Moliere's classic comedy "The Miser," will be performed in Big Piney, Jackson,
and Rock Springs, sponsored by the UW Cultural Outreach Program.
The play, widely considered to be one of the funniest in dramatic literature, tells
the story of the miser's two children, each of whom fall in love, only to discover
that the miser and his rich friends have wedding plans of their own.
The French comedy features a talented cast of students, and is directed by Eunice
Roberts, an accomplished actress and associate director of Actors From The London
Stage.
The Big Piney performance will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the Big
Piney Fine Arts Center, with tickets being sold at the door. For more information

The Jackson performance will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m., at the Pink

The Rock Springs performance will be held Friday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., at the Western
Wyoming Community College Theatre, with tickets and information available by calling

These performances are made possible through a partnership among the Cultural Outreach
Program, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Theatre and Dance.
