April 24, 2002 Tuition scholarships are available for students attending the annual
Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival, July 17 28, at the University of Wyoming. Scholarship
applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 10.
Scholarship auditions will be held Monday, May 6, from 7:15-8:30 p.m. at En Avant
Dance Studio in Cheyenne, 319 W. 18th St.
Patricia Tate, UW professor of dance and festival director, urges students to apply
now for scholarship assistance. Only a limited number of scholarships are available,
and festival enrollment is limited to 80 students.
Tuition for all classes is $260, and includes festival concert tickets. For more information

The Colorado Ballet, with artistic director Martin Fredmann and academy director Jocelyn
Labsen, New York choreographer Peter Pucci and Peter Pucci Plus Dancers, will return
to the festival as resident companies and teachers. Additional guest instructors include
Tony Coppola, Jay Franke, John Pennigton and Cameron Basden, the Joffrey Ballet master.
The Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival is open to dance students ages 13 through college
and any interested adult dancer, teacher, or choreographer. Classes will consist of
sessions in stretch, ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, and tap, improvisation, composition,
repertoire and special seminars and workshops for teachers.
