Detailed Company Residency Schedule:  WEEK 1
Detailed Company Residency Schedule:  WEEK 2

The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance, with the support of the UW Office of the President, is delighted and honored to host the Dance Theatre of Harlem  (DTH) as our 2017-2018 Eminent Artists-in-Residence.

The program will begin at UW with a two-week residency of the Company, who will teach, lead workshops, and perform for students from K-12 through college age, as well as for the general public.

The Company will present a Gala Concert on September 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the UW Arts & Sciences Auditorium, produced by UW Presents.  The gala will feature a world premiere of a new DTH work.

DTH Teaching Artists will remain at UW for most of the fall semester to teach classes and lead workshops, and to set DTH repertory pieces on UW students.

The DTH residency will culminate with Fall for Dance December 1-3, a concert which features works from the DTH repertoire.  Teaching artist Charmaine Hunter will set excerpts from Holberg Suite, a work choreographed by DTH founder  and NYC principal dancer Arthur Mitchell.  Teaching artist Tai Jimenez will set an original work.  Hunter and Jimenez are former principal artists with DTH.  Additional works will be presented as an outgrowth of the DTH Company’s September residency.
