Students living in campus housing are able to request housing accommodations at any
time. However, as housing options are limited, we strongly encourage all students
to request accommodations as early as possible, particularly for newly admitted students
who are required by the University of Wyoming to reside in the UW residence halls
during their first academic year on campus.
Due to limited availability, housing accommodations are available on a first come,
first serve basis. To ensure needs are accommodated, requests for the Fall semester
should be placed before the end of May and those for the Spring semester should be
placed before December 15th. Housing accommodation requests made after these dates,
even if approved, may not be implemented due to availability.
To Request a Housing Accommodation
Students must submit an application along with documentation to support their request.
Documentation must indicate the diagnoses, discuss how this will negatively impact
their ability to gain the learning objectives of on campus housing and why the requested
accommodation is the only means by which participation in housing can occur.
