About the Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics
The Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (GPND) at the University of Wyoming is a master of science (M.S.) degree program designed to prepare students for professional practice as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs). Through a blend of active coursework and supervised experiential learning, students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to work in a wide range of nutrition and dietetics settings. Our program emphasizes real-world application, critical thinking and evidence-based practice, allowing students to learn directly from experienced professionals while working with diverse populations. Graduates of our program leave prepared to sit for the RDN exam and make a meaningful impact on individual and community health through nutrition.

Admission to the Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics is primarily designed for students who have completed the Dietetics Pathway within the University of Wyoming's B.S. in Human Nutrition and Food. Applicants from outside the department are also welcome to apply, however, external candidates must complete the required prerequisite coursework and submit an application through the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application System (DICAS) in addition to the standard University of Wyoming graduate admission process.
